WHAT IS THE SUMMER THEATRE ACADEMY?
Professional Theatre Training in a Professional Theatre. Now in its 20th year, our annual Summer Theatre Academy is the region’s top professional theatre training program for young actors.
This summer, we are delighted to offer a wide array of programs for students of all ages and levels of experience. Our camps, which range from one to three weeks, give students the chance to shine in new Broadway hits and beloved musical theatre classics.
Students spend their days training with our team of theatre professionals, working towards a performance in our state of the art theatre. All camps end with a full production including lights, sound, costumes – the works!
Our location in downtown White Plains, along with our Before and After Care program, make STA the perfect fit for working parents.

AUSTIN’S BIO
Austin Morgan is pleased to be joining the WPPAC team this summer as the Summer Theatre Academy Director. He was first bitten by the theatre bug when he landed a lead role in Eric Bogisian’s, Suburbia, at FAU. Since then, he just couldn’t get enough. He spent his post-college years performing in community theatre plays and musicals while simultaneously directing.
Austin began his theatre education career at his childhood summer camp in Long Island, Ivy League, where he directed musicals such as Shrek, Willy Wonka, Beauty and the Beast, and an original twist on School House Rock designed specifically for Summer Camp.
Five years ago, Austin left Long Island to work as a full time theatre educator and director at The Harvey School in Katonah, where he has directed Laughing Stock, Our Rotten Town, a Zoom version of ACME, Sherlock Holmes and Peter Pan. Austin has never not spent a summer at summer camp and he couldn’t think of a better way to let out that summer excitement, than on the big stage. He is looking forward to meeting you all!
